In Honor of Roberta Ridenour "My little Mommie"
I recently signed up for the 2016 SUBWAY Race Against Cancer on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in honor of my little Mommie, Roberta Ridenour. She was the strongest woman I have ever known and fought like a warrior to beat this horrible disease, through it all she would always say... "I'm a winner either way"... she won her heavenly wings this January.
Participating in an event that raises money for the fight against cancer must touch your life in some way. Think about the ways that cancer has impacted those around you. Although I have lost family & friends to this disease, I know many courageous survivors to celebrate! What better way than through this race?
The money we raise will provide cancer screenings and education to the medically underserved in East Tennessee. I need your support so please do anything you can - sign up to walk with me or make a donation on my behalf.
Don't run...or even walk very far? No worries. There are lots of participation options - the 5K, a 1 mile walk in the park, and even the afternoon nap! So, there is something for everyone.
Come run the Race Against Cancer with me!
